Class A1 Fireproof & Acoustic Cladding

Rock Wool Sandwich Panel

Certified Industrial Safety

Engineered Non-Combustible Thermal & Acoustic Envelope

Joint Star Steel manufactures high-performance rock wool sandwich panels utilizing high-density natural basalt stone mineral wool bonded between two layers of precision-profiled prepainted galvanized steel (PPGI) or Aluzinc sheets.

Designed for industrial manufacturing plants, hazardous chemical storage, power generation facilities, cleanrooms, and public commercial buildings, our rock wool systems provide certified Class A1 incombustible performance, resisting structural fire spread up to 240 minutes while dampening internal industrial reverberations.

Buyer Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About Rock Wool Panels

Key information for structural engineers, project managers, and overseas purchasing authorities.

What fire resistance rating do Joint Star Rock Wool Sandwich Panels achieve?

Our rock wool sandwich panels utilize natural high-density basalt fiber core certified as Class A1 non-combustible. Depending on panel thickness (50mm to 200mm) and assembly structure, our panels deliver certified fire integrity and insulation resistance from 60 minutes up to 240 minutes (1 to 4 hours), without releasing noxious fumes or combustible droplets.

How does rock wool perform acoustically compared to EPS or PU panels?

Rock wool offers vastly superior acoustic damping. Its porous open-fiber matrix dissipates sound waves effectively, providing sound transmission reduction (Rw) between 30 dB and 35 dB. For ultra-quiet demands such as power generation rooms, pump stations, or industrial workshops, micro-perforated inner facing configurations are available.

What steel skin specifications and coatings can be customized?

We supply skin thickness from 0.40mm to 0.80mm using hot-dip galvanized (GI) steel or Aluzinc steel. Coatings include standard PE polyester, high-durability PVDF, HDP, or food-safe anti-bacterial film in any custom RAL color according to your project's architectural drawings.

How are panels packaged for sea container export?

Each panel is coated with a peelable UV-protective film. Panels are stacked on timber or foam pallets, wrapped in heavy-duty polyethylene stretch wrap, reinforced with perimeter edge protectors, and strapped with high-tensile PET banding for safe, damage-free 40ft HQ container shipping.
